Why This Is The PERFECT Window Film For Homes: XPEL Blend 17 by Texas Tint Masters

What in the HOCKLEY, TX is this heat?!

Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a Hockley, Texas homeowner who was looking to improve her home’s energy efficiency and privacy. She reached out to us with a specific need: to reduce heat within her home using window films. Her home featured about 10 windows and a front door that she wanted to cover with a residential reflective window film, known for its excellent performance in reflecting energy and drastically reducing heat entering through the windows. During the initial conversation, the homeowner expressed her preference for a film that wasn’t too dark that over limited natural sunlight, nor too light that it didn't provide the energy efficiency she was looking for. We discussed options such as XPEL Blend 17, a residential grade energy reflective window film, which offers great performance without significantly darkening the windows.

INTRODUCING XPEL BLEND 17 WINDOW FILM

XPEL Blend residential reflective window films offer a range of benefits that make them an excellent choice for any home:

  • Glare Reduction: Minimizes sunlight glare, enhancing indoor comfort.
  • Heat Rejection: Keeps the interior cool and reduces energy costs.
  • Privacy: Ensures privacy without compromising the view.
  • UV Protection: Blocks harmful UV rays, protecting furniture and flooring from fading.

What sets XPEL Blend 17 Residential Window Films apart from traditional reflective films is its subtle and elegant reflection. It combines natural sunlight with the privacy of a darker film and controlled glare, providing a sophisticated look to any home.

On-Site Assessment and Preparation

When we arrived at the home, it was clear that the remodeling process was still underway. There was a lot of dust on the windows and floors, indicating ongoing construction work. Our first task was to assess all the windows to check for any damages or areas that needed special attention. Thankfully, despite the dust, the windows were in good condition so we proceeded with our multi stage deep cleaning process.

We then implemented our multi-stage deep cleaning process to ensure the windows were perfectly clean before applying the film. This process is crucial for the longevity and effectiveness of the window film. Our cleaning process includes:

  1. Scrubbing the Window: Removing surface dirt and grime.
  2. Scraping the Glass: Eliminating stubborn debris.
  3. Brushing the Edges: Thoroughly cleaning the frames.
  4. Squeegeeing the Window: Extracting any remaining debris and moisture.

This meticulous cleaning ensures that the film bonds strongly to the glass, preventing peeling and extending the film's lifespan. We set up our cutting system in a safe space within the home and pre-cut all the films, organizing them by room.

Final Walk-Through and Homeowner Satisfaction

At the end of the installation, we conducted a walk-through with the homeowner to showcase the final product. She was thrilled with the results, particularly noting the transformation of her front door entrance. Previously, the clear glass allowed anyone outside to see inside her home. After we installed the window film, visibility from the outside was blocked, but she could still see out from inside. This added privacy was a bonus, in addition to the primary benefit of heat rejection.

Transforming this home with XPEL Blend residential window films was a rewarding experience. The homeowner's satisfaction with the enhanced privacy, heat rejection, and overall aesthetics confirmed the film's effectiveness. Whether you're looking to improve your current space or moving into a new home, XPEL Blend window films offer a perfect blend of functionality and elegance.
